Job Responsibilities:
- Read through original material and rewrite it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained.
- Familiar with translation memory software, such as MemoQ, Trados Studio, to ensure consistency of translation within documents and help efficiency.
- Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
- Research legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation.
- Proofread and edit final translated versions.
- Consult with experts in specialist areas.
- Retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation.
- Follow various translation-quality standards to ensure legal and ethical obligations to the customer.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by corporate management.
- Assessment: Every 3 months, review last performance goals and objectives results with Dir Ops and set medium/long-term expectations.
Job Requirements:
- Expert in MS Office.
- Good at Trados.
- BS or Master’s degree in language/translation (faculty of Arts- Language & translation – Alsun) is a must, and all languages are welcomed.
- Minimum +5 years of actual experience working in translation companies or agencies related to the translation industry (not only as a freelancer).
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English; orally and in writing.
- Familiarity with Computer Assisted Translation Tools, such as SDL Trados, Terminology Management Databases (TMS), and online dictionaries.
We’re hiring bloggers & copywriters, with following Responsibilities:
- Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts.
- Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content.
- Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
- Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
- Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
- Inviting other bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute content to the webpage.
- Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
- Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
Requirements:
- Writing experience or familiarity with certain interests or a specific field.
- Exceptional bilingual {English & Arabic} writing, research, and communication skills.
- Creativity and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
- Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, MS Office, and SEO keywords, a basic understanding of HTML
- Ability to sit and type for extended periods.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs desktop publishing and word processing of complex materials for the general and graduate catalogs.
- Enters and updates content, implements correlative changes, designs and formats page layout, creates and modifies multiple master pages, adds extensive hyperlinked cross-references, and applies multiple formats and styles for specific uses.
- Updates text insets and scans, edits, and imports photos; ensures that files comply with printer specifications; facilitates ease of conversion to HTML and PDF formats for the Web.
- Proofs documents and corrects files; assists with the development and revision of checklists and procedures.
- Performs extensive linking following detailed target and anchoring guidelines; prepares exhibit files using scanning, graphic editing, and PDF conversion software.
- Researches and tests current software and software features to improve accuracy and efficiency of production; evaluates new hardware and software to determine suitability for present and future needs; identifies and takes corrective action to resolve routine hardware/software problems.
- Acts as backup office support and performs general office duties.
